The team of participants includes universities based in Spain, Portugal, Norway, Poland and France. The Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) leads a network of partners that bring strong expertise and new sources of creativity to the project. University of Vic- University of Central Catalonia (UVic- UCC), University of Minho (UM), University of Stavanger (US), University of Warsaw (UW) and Catholic Univesity of Lyon (UCLy) are the partners.
UAB. Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
Jordi Mogas Recalde holds a PhD in Educational Technology and a Bachelor’s in Information and Documentation with mention in information systems management. Currently, he is a postdoc researcher at GEPS research center (Globalisation, Education and Social Policies), at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and belongs to ARGET (Applied Research Group in Education and Technology). He teaches at both the Department of Pedagogy at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (professor associat) and at the Department of Education at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (professor col·laborador). His main research lines are: Smart Learning Environments, Virtual Learning Environments and Self-Regulated Learning. Publications
Sheila González PhD in Public Policy and Social Transformation at the UAB. Currently she is a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has been visiting researcher at Hochschule Bremen (Germany), Instituto de Ciencias Sociales (UNAM, Mexico) and Departamento de Investigaciones Educativas (CINVESTAV-Mexico). She is member of the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP) and Globalisation, Education and Social Policies (GEPS). Her research interests include public policy analysis and social inequalities, with a special focus on education and migration. She has conducted several research projects in this field, and she has experience in policy analysis and policies evaluation. She has also published her work in national and international journals and specialized books.
Marta Bertran Tarrés is professor in education at UAB, and Dean of the Faculty of Education (UAB). Her main research focus has to do with ethnography, family studies and eduation. Prof Bertran is currently Deputy Dean at the UAB Faculty of Education. She has coordinated a number of training workshops introducing the Moodle and Mahara UAB systems to faculty members.
Remo Suppi PhD in Computer Science at UAB and Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Architecture and Operating System of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is visiting Professor (since 2008) at the LIDI Computer Science Research Institute and Professor of the doctoral program in High Performance Computing at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. His research is oriented to High Performance Computing, Big Data and ABM models and simulation and he has supervised 9 doctoral theses in these subjects. He has several research projects in this knowledge areas and more than 100 publication in international conferences and journals.

Lydia Brugué is Associate Professor of Translation and Coordinator of the Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages and the M.A. in Specialized Translation at the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC). As a member of the Learning and Communication research group, she specialises in Film Studies, Fairy-Tale Studies and Translation Training. She has been a visiting lecturer at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (California, USA) and at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Hawaii, USA).
Marcos Cánovas is Associate Professor of Translation and Head of the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC). As a member of the Learning and Communication research group, he specialises in translation training and semiotics. He has been a visiting lecturer in several universities in Europe, Mexico and the United States of America.
Lucrecia Keim is Associate Professor in the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages at the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC). She is member of the research group Learning and Communication (GRAC). She received her PhD in German Philology from the Universität Bielefeld (Germany). She has been a visiting lecturer at the Karlshochschule International University and the ULPGC. Her research lines include didactics of German as a foreign language, intercultural communication, computer assisted language learning and teacher training.
Àngel Tortadès is Associate Professor of German language and translation since 1996, he holds a degree in Anglo-Germanic Philology from the University of Barcelona. He has a postgraduate degree in German language teaching from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He coordinated the online mode of the Degree in Translation and Interpreting during the period 2005-2010. In the field of research, as a member of the Research Group on Learning and Communication, he has specialised in the analysis of oral interaction tasks in translation from the perspective of situated knowledge, a subject on which he is currently working on his doctoral thesis.
Richard Samson is a lecturer in the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, where he has taught subjects relating to computer use, English and interpreting and heads the University Teaching and Educational Technology Unit. He holds a Chemistry degree (University of Oxford). He in an expert in EdTech and learning platforms, in particular Moodle. In 2018 he was Chair of the international Moodle Users Association. He also works as a translator and is the chief editor of the Tradiling translation and language blog (https://tradiling.net).

Ana María Cea Álvarez is Assistant Professor in the Spanish and Hispano-American Studies Area since 2005. She is also a research member of CEHUM and she belongs to the Digital Humanities Group. She currently lectures in several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, some of them devoted to the training of teachers of Spanish as a second language. From 2014 she integrates the Board of Directors of the blended learning postgraduate course in Spanish as a Second and Foreign Language of the University of Minho (http://melsle.ilch.uminho.pt/es/). She has different publications related to the development of autonomy and strategic competence of university students and teachers, both in face-to-face, b-learning and e-learning modalities. In this sense, she conducted some research works related to the creation of didactic materials in digital support which allowed more effectively the development of reflexivity and metacognition. Carlos Pazos-Justo is Assistant Professor at the Romance Studies Department (ILCH), his PhD thesis was devoted to Cultural Sciences and he is also a research member of the CEHUM and GALABRA (Santiago de Compostela University). Pedro Dono López is Assistant Professor at the Romance Studies Department (ILCH). Maria Dolores Lerma Sanchis is Assistant Professor at the University of Minho, she has a PhD in Applied Linguistics. She teaches at both the undergraduate and master’s degree level. Kenan Dikilitas is a Professor of University Pedagogy at the University of Stavanger in Norway. Kenan’s research interests include teacher education, mentoring and investigating action research, as well as in-service and higher education teacher development in various contexts. He has co-authored monographs: ‘Developing Language Teacher Autonomy through Action Research’ (2017), ‘Inquiry and Research Skills for Language Teachers’ (2020) and ‘Introduction to TESOL’ (in press – WILEY) as well as an edited volume ‘Research Methods in Learning and Teaching’ (2022 – WILEY) and published research articles in international journals. Pattamawan Jimarkon is an associate professor in university pedagogy based at University of Stavanger, Norway. She researches issues concerning teacher identities and student identities, particularly on intercultural understanding and critical respect. Publications.
Damiano Rotondo received his Ph.D. degree (with honors) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain, in 2016. Since February 2020, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (IDE) of the University of Stavanger (UiS), in Norway. His main research interests include gain-scheduled control systems, fault detection and isolation (FDI) and fault-tolerant control (FTC) of dynamic systems. Elizabeth Mary Armstrong is a supervisor who supports academic staff in understanding, developing, and evaluating their digital integration into their teaching. She is currently doing her MA at OsloMet (Oslo Metropolitan university) in the field of “digital learning design”. She also collaborates with university pedagogy department in developing online courses for the professional development digital literacy in higher education. Profile.

Ali MOSTFA is associate professor at ESTRI, Lyon Catholic University, and director of the university partnerships. He is a researcher at the research unit CONFLUENCE, Sciences & Humanities, member of the scientific coordination board of PLURIEL, (Platform for University Research on Islam in Europe and Lebanon) and scientific consultant of WOCMES (World Congress for Middle East Studies). His research focuses on religious discourse and violence, religion and ethnicity, Islam in the context of Western modernity and transformation processes in relation to religious belief. Ali MOSTFA addresses in his recent publications the theme of cultural and political representation and the process of constructing models of identity and memory in social and literary discourses.
Franck BERTUCAT Teacher-Researcher at ESDES Business School, Pedagogical Advisor at UCLy. After a first career in vocational training during which I acquired the basics of the trainer’s profession, I entered higher education and defended a thesis in Education Sciences under the direction of Pr. Philippe Meirieu (“Methodological support and training for the self-regulation of learning: an essential issue for the university”, Université Lumière Lyon 2, September 2017). My fields of interest concern pedagogical practices in higher education in general and their impact on the management of learning by students. Furthermore, I am a pedagogical coach in higher education, which gives me the opportunity to work on the professional development of teachers (individually or in teams) through training and coaching workshops. The governance of institutions is also targeted by training and/or coaching.
Stéphanie RABIN-SÉCHET is a teacher of French as a Foreign Language, holds a Master’s degree and is the Deputy Director in charge of pedagogy and student life at the Institute of French Language and Culture at UCLy. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching French as a Foreign Language and French for Specific Purposes in higher education but also in the professional training sector. She has collaborated in several university projects related to language didactics / action research.
Valérie SOUBRE is a teacher-researcher at UCLy. She teaches French as a foreign language at the ILCF (French language and culture institute) and education sciences in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in modern literature ( at Lyon Catholic University). She has worked in various institutions in France and in different countries as a teacher, trainer of trainers and training manager. Currently, she is deputy director in charge of Quality and training engineering at the ILCF.

Ana Garrido González PhD specializes in literary and cultural studies of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America at the University of Warsaw. Currently she is a member of the Faculty of Modern Languages at the UW. Her areas of research include: galician migration and exile, memory, identity and gender. She has completed research and teaching stays in Spain and Portugal. She has co-edited five monographs and a collective dossier. She has also served as co-director of the organizing committee of several international conferences. She received the Xohana Torres Essay Award 2019 for the monograph “Xohana Torres: da viúva de vivo á muller navegante”, which was published by the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2020. Her work has also been published in national and international journals and specialized books.
Magdalena Adamczyk is lecturer of Spanish as a foreign language at all levels and didactics of Spanish at the University of Warsaw alongside a range of other subjects. She researches on Spanish Language Acquisition and her publications are related to Spanish grammar acquired by Polish students. She has studied in Poland and Spain and been a short-term guest lecturer in the areas of Spanish and Translation at a number of universities in Spain as part of the Erasmus programme. She has also performed a research stay in Portugal. She is Coordinator of the Glottodidactic Team of the Section of Linguistics and Didactics of Iberian Languages for cooperation with schools on innovations in the teaching of Spanish.
